Yesterday was one of those clear, sparkling sunny days with a frosty start. The views are tremendous, looking out over the valley and over to the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. Christmas and New Year passed in a flurry of country walks, huge log fires, plenty of festive food including a goose reared on the Estate that was cooked to perfection. Sarah and her family arrived for a last minute stay in Barley Cottage; the children loved the 4-poster bed. It also has a large master suite with a 6ft wide king size bed and a third bedroom with twin beds.
